I AGREE 100%
i cant wat
I still don't feel like this game is going the right direction. They don't seem to be focusing on realism and seem to be making this a multiplayer larger version of Sim City Societies. The scale seems all off and large cities seem nonexistent. The look overall is nowhere near what other city simulation games are. I hope a lot changes in the next 8 months.

Well, exactly. It's only been so little time since we have heard anything of SimCity 5.

We are not able to judge if this game is going "in the wrong direction" or "in the right direction", since we know so little.

So, other city simulation games come nowhere close to this game in regard to city simulation. You will just have to wait till SimCity 6.
this game's success hinges on how or if we can add mods/BAT's etc. we added so much of our own stuff. all they have to do is create a great usable engine, the community will do the rest. it all depends on how much they will let us do.
How anyone can watch that preview and think that doesn't look like a blast? Yes it isn't Sim City 4 on steroids like everyone wants, but it does look like a whole new awesome experience any fan of the series should be happy to try out. This is a series reboot, they are starting from scratch. If this goes well they will do a sequel and eventually with each release will be a better and more technical game.

However if everyone chooses to just cry their eyes out and $%&^! online they didn't get what they think the game should of been and nobody buys it, there won't be another sequel and what could of been an amazing series will be cancelled.
It really made me think.

1 - He talked a lot about plopables which gave the impression most 'developed' buildings will be plopped.

2 - The sheer mention on 'types of cities' made me tremble to the core!

3 - The multi-player aspect is not a think I'm interested in. Nor is 'sharing' my city experiences. Period.

4 - To say they started with the corefans is overating it to say the least. Simtropolis, the main community website by far has a very mixed population. Still most people here seem to have reserves or simple to reject the idea of nothing other then a better SimCity. So I'm not exactly sure who those 'corefans' are. Bringing in someone from the older team doesn't necessarily mean you're appealing to the fans.
No offline mode?
No Mac version?
No reloading saved games?

I don't like how the new Simcity is progressing. They're going to lose LOTS of buyers :(
I wanted this game ever since CXL's development started.

No reloading saved games?

Where the heck did you get that from!?!?
