Wow...kind of expensive!

If it lives up to all the hype, it should be worth it for a tiny minority of us who are SimCity fanatics. But what of the mainstream buyer?
$60 is the going rate for games these days, I see no reason they should make an exception for this title. In other news, $10 for 3 tile-sets isn't as bad as I thought "DLC" might be.

From the images it looks like a lot more content is getting ironed out, no models have textures yet though. This seems like a good thing at the moment, however. I'd rather have them finishing up mechanics before worrying what color paint to use.

P.S. OMG SimHoTToDDy is on ST :O

Well, it is expensive. I do think it will attract the new users they are hoping for and many of us will try it, but the trial price is pretty stiff for a game that may not be what many of us have anticipated. Tile sets are one thing, but what about the ability to add custom content from the players?
A Nonny Moose, we have been promised custom content will be allowed. Although, how and when is another question.
Remove the online only requirement and I will throw money at this game.
I like the trams, the trains, the simulation of traffic, but I dont see highways bridges and intersections.
I hope they save that for last.
$80 for this game is just plain obscene. The LE is going for $60 which is alright... But I really don't understand why they're pricing the game $20 more than the LE. All for a few landmarks and a superhero HQ? Dr. Vu was in SC4, and you dealt with him yourself on your own time.
But I see their EA overlords told them to get this done, because I'm sure Maxis wouldn't do this. I smell a desperate milking operation. Please don't buy the $80 game people... And until I can confirm that landmarks won't be priced DLC or there won't be a pricetag on anything other than the game its self, and that I can build cities in a Japanese building style, then I will not pre-order anything.

EA is taking advantage of over a decade of a loyal fanbase to the SimCity brand.
Extra sets shouldn't be the only defining reason why the game is worth buying.
Wow... expensive, online only requirement, and a few landmarks +a superhero HQ for $20 more? :|
Anyone else notice the extreme low system requirements? I really thought I had to upgrade to a new system, but this 6 year old pc still got some time left in it apparently.
Advertising an Expansion Pack this early? wow, we really are in a 'TheSims2/3' kinda zone. In fact that was all I could think about when reading the description: 'yup, using familiar character of SC and putting then in the Sims 3 environment'.

The difference between SC-2013 and The Sims 3? Bigger neighbourhoods.
This just confirms there won't be modding capabilities for SC5 if they are desperately trying to throw DLC at us. I'm sorry but I'm not going to buy this game, it looks like another huge money-grabbing scheme from EA.
Actually that is not exactly true. From what was said the buildings are going to be customizable much like they were in Spore. So, in a way it will be part of SC2013. Not in the way we're used to though and it is still unknown to what point can we tamper with it.

Was there or was there not a hands-on demo at E3?
I don't think so, i'm not sure.
Not to the community knowledge. I don't think this game is playable yet.
