'We're trying to be authentic.' He says. I fail to see where.
I feel like many of these interviewers have never played Sim City in the past. All the questions seem cookie cutter. Nothing interesting out of this interview, or new.

Actually, a couple of guys worked on SimCity 3000, so they go way back, and this is the game that they’ve always wanted to build.

What about the game the fans, long time, cash paying fans wanted you to build? What about that game?

...the option to just hover over any one of the Sims in the game, and you would get an actual update on what it is that they were doing; whether it’s... so you can actually get some feedback from the little guys living in the world that you’re creating, but also just silly things like “they ran out of donuts; so I turned around and went back home”.

I think I experienced this same thing in Tropico 3, (have not played 4) So this is nothing new for many of us and certainly not in the industry.

Buildings have different requirements; they have to have workers there. So a lot of buildings will stay closed, if you don’t have enough population, or if people don’t want to actually come to your city.

Again, pretty much the same thing we had to put up with in Tropico 3. Sitting and waiting for people to get there to build something or activate it. It's as exciting as watching paint peel.

Can you guys foresee any application for the game in the real-world sense?

Sorry, but I can't even see any application in the gaming world that will last longer than a day, two at best for those over twelve.

That's my opinion. Yours may vary. ;)
Possible tablet version? TABLET?! Yet another piece of news following the ever-deteriorating situation that is Sim City 2013. I'm sorry, I try to be positive, but with news like this you can't help but become frustrated that Sim City is taking a turn in the wrong direction; the direction that leads towards the edge of a cliff where only greed and nonsense lie below in a pit so deep you'll never get out.
people who want to know everything about their little imaginary people play the Sims...I couldn't care less about them on an individual level. I want to build a city without the limitations they're putting on this game.
Simplifying the software has the clear intention of portability and this way they are going to all applications and also the OS (eg Windows 8).

The gaming industry also embarking on it so this theme Reboot is present in most games as a way to explain the unexplainable to consumers accustomed and desirous of more fidelity to the originals.

Unfortunately for us, the market acts as a mass taken to online as the way to future and with intense marketing the distributors have always encountered unsuspecting ready to fatten the numbers of subscribers.

For those who will buy .... Good fun!
I beleive this game is heading in the same way that many of my faviourite games are heading. They are trying to appeal to a brand new audience when there forgetting what made this game so great. The ability to build a city of your wildest dreams without having to worry about every individual holding you back. I really hope they prove me wrong and that it is a really fun and addictive game.
Clearly, Simtropolis should stop posting updates about Sim City (2013).
Until the release, it is still The official sequel. We just need to see how the community takes it after the actual release and, then, it's up to Dirk! :)
