| (My first post) 3 quick points. 1. I have only just this week found this website. After playing the original SimCity, (and being undeniably obsessed with it and its entourage of successors) I had continued through to SimCity 4. Until this week I thought it was one of the best games ever made. Having now discovered the the massive online modding/building exchange/forum world, I kow it is. I have forever consigned myself to the recesses of procrastination. Thank you all. 2. I am utterly astounded by the work that has been done by people on this site (and other such sites).I am totally in awe of the time, effort and energy you have put in for free, merely to enhance the game for others. You have my respect and admiration. 3. I downloaded the NAM. Totally lost. No idea how to use it or what I was doing. In my desperation I turned to the forum (which, I admit I usually avoid). This forum here has been invaluable. Indeed, I the comments you have all posted have been clear, informative, concise and bang on point. you guys are awesome. As we say here in New Zealand, "chur". | Welcome to Simtroplis!!! Wow!!!!! Its a good thing that people are still buying and playing this game. A couple days ago I went to Wal-Mart and I was counting how many Sim City4 cases was on the self and when I came back to Wal-Mart some of the cases were gone, so I figure that soon we might have some more people coming our way on this site. One thing about me It took me about a year to find this site and SC4 devotion , when I ever I went on Youtube I would look at Sim City4 videos and I use to get up set because how there city have building and road Mods I did not have. Well Im really glad you have founded it site. |
| You know Will's own words were "it backed itself into a corner" - but I think - he tapped into a type of genre and class of game design that no one has yet to re-achieve. In my opinion, this was Will and Maxis' best game, even if it did get stuck in a corner. |
