wow. it was very worth it .
I see that you even make a new texture path for the Rails. That is one magnificent job!! I'll sure be here next time as well and i don't mind waiting 2, 3, 4 or even 6 months .
|
| New Cj coming soon ... |
| It was worth the wait, but I myself would like to see more of this magnificent creation. I never cease to be astounded at custom lotting at its finest. |
|
|
| Regarding custom lotting you are really crazy - crazy like me when it comes to my railway or nowadays to river shores ... And seeing the big panorama I now understand better your picture in the Picture competition. However IMHO you shouldn't pack heavy railway in plaster - heavy railway belongs to a gravel bad or asphalt bed on high speed tracks. Tracks in plaster are usually Tramway - GLR or tracks that connects to local industry. But I guess you know with railways I am rather picky ... rather VERY picky .. ![]() Take care Bernhard ![]() |

![]() ![]() SODATWIN: As I've always said, all it takes is imagination and patience, then anything is possible in SC4. Thanks for commenting! blue sinjid: Yep, many hours of lotting went into those pics. Glad you thought the wait was worth it, since this new update took even longer to materialize! TmiguelT: Yes, thanks to lot-resizing, I was able to retexture the base texture underneath the rails. Although I now realize it isn't as realistic as I wanted it to be, it is different. And you only had to wait three months for this update! Patricius Maximus: Thanks, my friend! I indeed have more to show in this update, so I hope you aren't disappointed! Nardo69: Yes, you do have to be a bit crazy to take on a project of this size! I agree with you on the rail textures; I was going for a look similar to the GLR, seeing as the GLR currently doesn't have wide curves. Hopefully in the future this'll be implemented into the NAM! Thanks for your opinion, Bernhard! Update 19- Phoenix Rising Yes, it is time for a long awaited update! Let's see if I still have it ...![]() ![]() ![]() ... and for sticking with me, a special panoramic shot for everyone! Just Click Here to view it! Enjoy! ~ Dan |

| Very expensive looking property there for what looks like R$ housing.. but otherwise it looks excellent.. especially like your much more realistic looking athletic fields and your walls, ped areas and lotting work... real eye-poppers .. nice work |

Update 20- Urban Revival Well as some of you may or may not have heard, I broke both of my wrists in a work accident a month ago. I have been at home recovering and was finally able to scrap together, in my newfound free time, an update. ![]() Teaser Back already with a teaser ! The creative juices are flowing, but this time I decided to do a revisit:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is an old shot of Pier 4. If youlook closely at the LE pic, you can see subtle changes have been made to this lot. Now I am working on the fifth and final main pier for Francis Harbor (FH): ![]() Here's a couple of Lot Editor shot of the lots in progress: ![]() ![]() Another lot (19x16 tiles) will be the third lot need to make up Pier 5. Again these are all rough sketches, so further refinement will come. I'll keep everyone updated on the progress as I go along... ~ Dan |

The Ultimate CJing Experience mmmmmm... baaaacon |
| Excellent work! I have done a little work with custom lots, but this is a far step above anything that I've even seen done before. I really love the update from Nov. 2nd with the spa buildings and the condos along the water. I cannot wait to see more. |

![]() Teaser Well, I've made some progress on Pier 5. Still quite a bit left to do; my Lot Editor is getting quite a workout !![]() Here's what was shown in the previous teaser shot. Now let's take a look at a small bit of progress: ![]() The small bus depot shown here will be replaced by... well, you'll see. The lot will remain a static construction site, just to add some depth to the city. This shot is a couple days old, and some tweaks have been made, so look out for that in the future. Until then... ~ Dan |
| I think the way you show your progress through the Lot Editor is inspiring many, including myself. Thanks for sharing such great work. |
