| jefft420... Did you use the installer version or the manual version? If the installer version, did you run two (not all three) of the three installers in the download? You need to run the core installer and either the single_prop (no dependencies) or the prop_family (has dependency) installer to get the models and props. Just a thought... |

| I have a similar problem with just the subway stations. I followed all the instructions, and simply upgraded my 3.51 files. Everything looks in order, but all of my in road subways (and combos) have the box. |
| @jefft420 and TEG24601: I had the same problem after installing the RTMT 3.60 add-on pack. Sounds like you're having a prop issue. Which bus stop model do you use? Which sign prop and timetable props do you use? More specific, I actually ask which files are installed in the "Props" folder of your RTMTV3. |

| Ummm... This thread seems to be getting a bit scrambled... jefft420 was asking about installing the original RTMT 3.50 and getting a box which usually means an isue with the proper model files being installed. TEG24601 and heitomat, you seem to be having (had?) issues with upgrading to RTMT3.60. There was an issue with SimGoober's bus shelter in version 3.60. It was dealt with and fixed in an update of 3.60. If those are the shelters being used, you might try to re-download 3.60 if yours isn't a recent download. As for the subway stations, check to be sure the appropriate model file is in the model folder. |

@CaptCity: You're absolutely correct. I had an issue with the SG shelters, but as you said it was fixed by z1. ![]() What I probably should have said in my previous post, is that I also got brown boxes when (not) using certain props on the RTMT lots, regardless of the SG shelters. When asking for the contents of the Props folder, my goal was to see if jefft420 (and possibly TEG24601) had the same setup as me when the boxes appeared. To make it short: I wanted to use the RTMTV3_Prop_TimeTable_MGBlackAlt.dat to make the timetable appear in place of the bus stop sign. Accordingly I thought I didn't need a bus stop sign prop, and didn't install any. That caused the brown boxes to appear. When I put RTMTV3_Prop_BusSign_TfL.dat in the Props folder, the brown boxes disappeared. The bus sign itself didn't show, as the timetable "overwrote" it - just as I wanted. I simply didn't understand that I had to install a bus sign even when I wanted it replaced by the alternate timetable prop. jefft420's picture shows the back of a shelter, which may indicate that the shelter model itself is present. That's why I'm wondering if the brown boxes are caused by something similar as I've tried to describe above. I do not know if this applies to both the RTMT 3.50 and the 3.60, and I don't know if I'm correct about this. All I'm saying is that I had brown boxes, but now I don't.. By the way: Sorry for the long post. ![]() |

That should have been OK. Missing props don't cause brown boxes, missing models do. Missing props cause empty space where they would have been. You can actually take out the whole 'Props' folder and get an empty station with no brown boxes. It's odd that the TimeTable or BusSign files (or lack of) would cause the boxes to appear or disappear. They, along with the other prop files, are just props and can be taken out if desired. They don't replace each other, but you should be able to use the RTMTV3_Prop_TimeTable_MGBlackAlt prop without any of the BusSign files if that's the look your going for. ![]() I did this based on what I thought you were trying to make. This configuration uses the Prop_TimeTable_MGBlackAlt file with no BusSign files. Seems to be OK. Long posts are fine. They make good readin'... (for me, anyway) ![]() |

| @CaptCity: Thank you for your reply. I'm certainly no expert on the matter. After trying what you did, everything works as it should. And of course you're right: Missing props don't cause brown boxes, models do.. (I actually knew that. Really. No, I did! )But could the use of the wrong APropBase cause the boxes to appear? E.g. using SG shelter models on another APropBase than the SG wouldn't work, right? Note: This isn't my problem. My RTMT lots works just fine now. I'm just trying not to forget that it's jefft420's issue (and TEG24601's) that should be identified and solved.. ![]() |

@CaptCity: Thank you for your reply. But could the use of the wrong APropBase cause the boxes to appear? Maybe... It would depend on what is in the Model folder. If the matching model is present, it would appear (so no brown box), even if it isn't the one desired. If the matching model isn't present, then the box would appear. That's why I brought up the possibility of missing models in my previous posts. It's the absence of the model that causes the box. I guess it would depend on the desired results to say whether the model file is the wrong one or the APropBase file is the wrong one. It definately would not show SG's shelters, and it may not show a box either if the other model was present. Of course, if the other model isn't present, then the box would show. Hope that makes sense... |
