| Take any european country and conquer the rest of europe not including russia [its fairly easy, happens pretty much once every 50 years anyways] then get a team of swiss scientists to declare that russia is no longer part of the european continent. Congrats, you just conquered all of europe! |

| Nobody wants to let Russia into the EU. Nor do the *Russians* want in either, AFAIK. And Europeans proper learned long ago it's pretty stupid to try to take over each other by force (most caught the lesson already after WW1, except the Nazis who were stone cold crazy and operating under a spectacularly delusional perception of the world) and rather prefer cooperation these days instead. Much more profitable. And the whole subcontinent spent a good fifty years gearing up for the Third World War that never came around, as a result being rather armed to the teeth - the major militaries have now been downgraded to "maintenance mode" sizes on account of no perceivable need to keep large forces in readiness for the time being, but can be expanded quite rapidly if need be. Also, two states *have* nukes already and pretty much EVERYONE can build themselves a set inside a few years if they have a pressing enough need to, so yeah... Europe appears to be a region remarkably structurally resilient to dominance by any single power. Methinks it's all those geographical dividers compartementalising the region, and the resultant historic tendency towards a large number of competitive polities brandishing ironmongery at each other. |

Europe (and as such, the EU) will never become federalised, because Europeans, as people have stated, are far too different. I think that the EU is the best compromise, as someone already stated in this thread. By the way I am a European, British. |

Hitler failed because he simply didn't have enough people. Hell, Hitler was winning and came up to Moscow in one week. Then he made a terrible decision to stop Moscow assault and go for oil rich Balkans. Then Hitler was also fighting in Afrika, all Europe, etc.. Just not enough people and oil and bad strategy. Yeah, I like your idea. BIG MOTHER RUSSIA. All comments think too little. Of course peacefully you can't make hyper Euro State. If someone is against, nuke'em, or send them to Siberia making never ending railways with handtools. If someone still doesnt support the new rule - shoot'em. It's pretty simple. Bodies dump into Baltic Sea which is full of crap anyways. |
